Favorite DJ Moment: After 22 years of djing, I have so many. How much time do you have? Here are a couple:

I was the dj for Salinas Relay for Life for many years. I did most of the emceeing, picked out all the music for the luminary ceremony and the music to motivate the participates to keep moving for the cause. It was very emotional, and rewarding to be part of something so powerful and inspiring for the community.

I remember one ceremony/reception in which the officiant didn’t show up (he forgot) for over 2 hours. I played music for the guests and hung out with my bride and bridesmaids in the brides room (being a girl gives me an advantage) keeping her calm. It ended up being a beautiful ceremony and a really fun reception. I am now a minister, just in case it ever happens again!!!

Favorite Song: Wow, this is a hard one. I have so many!! Music has always been part of my life. I can tell you for my personal enjoyment I listen to all genres of music, from Country, Hip Hop, Alternative, Reggae, Celtic, Christian, Motown, Rock and everything in between. For my events, I work with my clients to put together a great mix of music that will keep their guests dancing. O.K. I’ll try to pick a couple of my favs….”Let me know” Collie Buddz, ” Just like heaven” The cure, of course, however I really like the remake by Katie Melua, “I’m in Miami Trick” LMFAO, “Never Let Go” by David Crowder, ” Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts, “Sandstorm” by Darude, “All my Loving” The Beatles ………..

Favorite Type Event to DJ: I’d have to say that weddings are . I love helping my brides and grooms choreograph every detail of their ceremony and/or reception and then watching it unfold just as they dreamed it to be. I am a dj/wedding coordinator, so I am very detail orientated. My goal is to make the day perfect, no matter what!!!!

I also enjoy school dances. For many years I was the dj for all the sober graduation all night parties in the area, and was blessed with the nick name “Sober Queen”. Birthday parties and corporate events are a lot of fun too. I have been a disc jockey for every event you could imagine and each one is memorable.

Activities/things you enjoy outside of Djing: Attending yoga classes, running, hiking, reading, movies, listening to music, watching my daughter play volleyball (yep..I’m a volleyball Mom!), I love to travel to warm places and enjoy sharing my travels with those in need of honeymoon ideas!

Talents: I have been in the fitness and wellness business for over 25 years. I am an ERYT ( Registered yoga teacher), so when I’m not teaching or dj-ing I am continuing my education. I am also a certified Pilates instructor and a Spin Teacher ( those classes you attend where you ride a bike to no where, but have alot of fun doing it!)

Hope this email finds you well!  Jordan and I returned from our honeymoon in Kauai last Thursday.  We left on Valentines and spent 10 days there enjoying the first few days of married life.

Before too much time elapsed, I wanted to thank you for everything during the wedding reception (Feb 11 at the Perry House).  The music was great.  I thought it was cool having the Christian music playing, esp. since our day we really wanted God tightly woven through and through.  And I always wanted to acknowledge that you worked very hard trying to get people on the dance floor.  Let me say that his side of the guest list were very hard to budge out of their seats.  They didn’t even leave the dance hall to see the photo wall (in the carriage house) or sign my puzzle (which was on the deck).  So believe me when I say I know that the crowd was tough.

But thanks for everything.  All of your hard work was greatly appreciated.  And what did you think of our first dance?!  Cute, huh?  Not had for practicing only 5 times, including getting the routine made.

Wanted to write you back to tell you thank you so much for sending Andi. She was beyond incredible. A great and fun DJ, super attentive and very intuitive. She was also and incredibly nice person.
