Favorite DJ moment: The hug that I received from the Bride of the first wedding I ever did on my own. It was such a beautiful night at the Monterey Plaza, with the moon rising over the bay, and they had a fantastic reception. I’ll never forget it.

Favorite Song: That is a tough question to answer. If I had to pick one, I’d say “Let’s get it on” by Marvin Gaye.

Favorite Type Event to DJ: Weddings are the most memorable, but they’re all fun.

Activities/Things you enjoy outside of Djing: I’m passionate about music. I love to play/write/record music, by myself, with other individuals, or in bands. I love playing with my Dog Tucker. I also enjoy Parkouring (freestyle running), an extreme sport that originated in France, but is quickly picking up popularity in the States.

Talents: I can play an array of instruments well: Guitar (13 years) piano, drums/percussion, bass guitar, banjo, harmonica, and most recently, The Harp. I’ve been in several bands, as well as recorded solo CDs on my own, playing every instrument on the album. I speak semi-fluent French and Spanish. And I can do a back flip anytime, anywhere.

Our C.A.R. kids were so happy with the DJs at their dance on Friday night at the Embassy Suites. They can’t say enough good things! One of the eight-year-olds told me how the DJ did flips on the dance floor. One of the adult chaperones said this was the best dance she had ever chaperoned, and she has  been “on the job” for 4 years. Whatever you all did, it pleased the kids enormously. We thank you and hope to be able to work with you again.

First of all he should get a raise.  As you know, the music is what makes a party and everybody loved it.  He picked the right songs and knew what to play and when to play it.  He was super professional and I think he was having a good time as well, I saw him dancing a few times.  I think that was great because people were feeding off of that.  Honestly, I don’t think we could have asked for more.  In terms of the equipment, it was perfect.  I really liked that you had separate speakers for outside, as people were able to enjoy the music during the cocktail hour.
Evan, thank you so much for everything.  We will definitely be telling everyone about you and DNA.  I really enjoyed working with you guys and I appreciate your flexibility in meeting with us and discussing our plans, likes and dislikes.  I also appreciate that you tried to squeeze our songs in there.  It was great!

we LOVED Evan!!! We have had many parties in the past with a D.J. including my older brothers wedding and none of the D.J.’s that we have used were as good as Evan! We just wanted to send a huge thank you to Evan Parker and DNA Entertainment! Evan kept our wedding reception lively and entertaining the entire time. I have never been at a party where the dance floor was packed the entire time like it was at our wedding. We are so lucky to have had Evan Parker DJ our wedding in Monterey, California! He was absolutely fabulous throughout our entire event! He was professional yet kept a party atmosphere for the entire wedding crowd which ranged from young to old. He stuck to our “play/do not play” song list religiously. He was willing to meet me the week before the wedding and greeted me with smiles and positivity even though I was late to our meeting.

He had great and appropriate song choice suggestions for the ceremony through the last dance. He was flexible when we threw last minute changes at him. He accommodated our singers with back up tracks to their solos. He was intuitive, creative and and an all around great person to work with.

Evan kept people dancing on the floor the entire wedding until the hotel turned the lights on forcing people to realize the party was finally over. I obviously would highly recommmend him as a DJ.

Also, DNA was so easy to work with. Anthony was super responsive over e-mail to set up the details previous to the event and DNA’s suggestion work sheets are invaluable in planning your song choices for an entire wedding day.
