Favorite DJ Moment: I am torn between the first dance and the father daughter dance. At each wedding they are remarkably different however, what they share in common is that they tend to always be sincere, sweet, and loving moments captured by everyone there — which usually ends up being the highlight of the evening.

Favorite Song: There’s no way as a DJ that I can choose just one … At the moment I love any Michael Jackson, Michael Buble … Any true Classical music, Romantic era, or Impressionist music such as Debussy Clair De Lune, the Chopin Etudes, or Rachmaninoff. On the flip side I am addicted to lighting up the dance floor with anything that makes people move. I am a club level DJ and pride myself in my song selection and the music that I play as well as my mixing and programming ability.

Favorite Type Event to DJ: I absolutely love weddings! I love to meet wonderful people and be part of something special as there is something magical about a couple on their wedding day … I have a desire to help facilitate their special day so they can relax and enjoy one of the most memorable events of their life.

Activities/things you enjoy outside of Djing: I am a full time videographer, a certified White Water Rafting Guide, and I enjoy rock climbing and motor-sports (especially racing cars and motorcycles). I absolutely love traveling: Cairns, Australia, Tokyo, Japan, and London, England are among my favorite places to visit! I am also a sucker for exquisite food.

Talents: I speak Japanese. I have played 16 years of classically trained piano, 8 years on the guitar (electric and acoustic), and 4 years on drums and percussion. I have also DJ’d hard trance, dance, electro, and house locally, nationwide, and internationally as well as produced and engineered hard dance tracks for a few record labels. You would be shocked to hear the broad range of music that is on my iPod! I am also accomplished in print photography, digital art design, musical theatre, and cooking authentic Japanese food.

We want to thank you for providing the music for our wedding, and more importantly for allowing us to work with Jon Belmont. Jon was a major part of making our wedding day perfect. For the ceremony Jon prepared the music we requested in conjunction with family friends playing and singing live music. Even though we only asked Jon to play those two songs, he set up all of his equipment, and even made sure the performers had the equipment they needed. He made sure to monitor the pace, length of the song, the settings, sound, etc.

The reception was where Jon impressed us even more. He served as our DJ and MC and did a fantastic job! He worked with our wedding planner to make sure the schedule was followed as closely as possible. He had an amazing read of the crowd, and would adjust the music accordingly to keep people dancing. If he noticed people leaving the dance floor when a certain genre was playing, he would adjust the next song to keep the party going.

Jon’s constant upbeat, positive attitude made everyone respond well to him, and the music he was playing. We have had so many people tell us how great our DJ was, and we completely agree! He was always responsive to emails, and our two pre-wedding meetings allowed us to get to know Jon, and give him an idea of who we are as a couple and what we wanted out of our wedding.

Ashley’s favorite part of the evening was when Jon played what she is calling the “Britney Montage”. She is a HUGE Britney Spears fan, so when she was out on the dance floor with all of her girlfriends, he played portions of 3 Britney Spears songs in a row because it was exactly what she wanted.

Jon exceeded our expectations, by far! We were so happy he was part of our wedding day!

I am so glad that you were referred to me because you all made the ceremony/reception planning a breeze! I like the fact that he checked in with the groom and I throughout the night to be sure everything was going as planned. Jon read the crowd very well which kept bodies on the floor all night.

I would like to commend Jon Belmont for providing Terrell and me with an excellent music experience at our wedding. Jon was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about the type of music we wanted. I greatly appreciated the one-on-one meeting we had the day prior to the wedding to establish rapport and get a sense of the type of couple we were. We received excellent feedback from our guests regarding the music selection. It was a little dicey whether or not people would dance at an afternoon wedding, but I think the type of group we had, coupled with the energetic music, made for a fantastic day.

Without hesitation, I would recommend DNA Entertainment to my friends and family. I hope to be able to work with Jon again in the future.
